Fuller's Teasel - Dipsacus fullonum sativus.
A biennial herbaceous plant, 100-200 cm high, with bright green leaves, decorated on the outside with two rows of tubercles, and on the bottom with small spines.
Powerful spike-like stems end with original spherical inflorescences-cones, which are gradually painted with small lilac flowers.
On garden plots, it is very useful as a peculiar and unique decoration. The plant grows well and hibernates and does not create any particular difficulties for amateur flower growers.
Used in group plantings, goes well with other annuals and perennials, as well as for winter bouquets.
Agrotechnics.
Prefers nutritious, moderately moist soils, and grows well in sunny and slightly shaded places. Seeds are sown for seedlings or immediately to a permanent place in June.
With seedling culture, seedlings dive into ridges at a distance of 7-8 cm and are planted in a permanent place in late August - early September. In favourable conditions, it can produce abundant self-seeding. Does not require special care.
