Tomato "Long Stocking" & Basil "Siberian Dwarf"
Perfect Duo: Tomato "Long Stocking" & Basil "Siberian Dwarf".
Best friends in the garden and on the plate!
1. Tomato "Long Stocking".
An ultra-early (90-95 days) semi-determinate variety that surprises with its shape and taste.
Characteristics:
The fruits have an original elongated shape with a playful "beak" bent to the side. The colouring is festive: a rich yellow-orange background decorated with yellow stripes and pinkish blush.
Fruit weight 80-90 g. The flesh literally melts in the mouth, seed chambers are tiny (almost solid meat).
Agrotechnics:
The variety is very adaptable: it can be trained to 3 or even up to 5 stems! Dense planting is acceptable (4 plants/m²). High yield — about 5 kg per plant.
2. Basil "Siberian Dwarf".
A large-leaved variety with powerful charisma and a fantastic sweet-spicy aroma (notes of anise and clove).
Variety value:
Ideal for Pesto sauce and Neapolitan cuisine dishes. The plant forms a dense, leafy bush 45-55 cm high.
Tip: Basil is the best companion for tomatoes! Its scent repels pests and is believed to improve the flavour of tomatoes growing nearby.
Agrotechnics:
Sowing for seedlings: late March – early April. Planting out: late May (spacing 30x25 cm).
Pinching above the 5-6th leaf stimulates branching. Leaves are harvested multiple times before flowering begins.
