Mealy-cup sage "Blue Victory" - Salvia farinacea.
A very interesting variety for landscape-style flower beds. A perennial grown in our climate as an annual.
A compact plant, 40-60 cm high, with bright green lush foliage and flowers that are raised high above the plant.
Plants form pyramidal bushes. Inflorescences are 15-20 cm long, on tall peduncles. Blooms from mid-August to late autumn.
Used for borders, ridges, balcony boxes, as a potted plant. The color is retained when dried. If overwintered in a bright and cool room, the plants will bloom in May.
Agrotechnics.
Sowing time: March - in seedling boxes to a depth of 0.5-0.8 cm. (1.0 g = 300 seeds).
At a soil temperature of +18°C, seedlings appear in 7-14 days.
Planting seedlings in the ground: when the threat of spring frosts has passed (May 25 - June 15).
Distance between plants: 20-25 cm.
Flowering: July-October.
It grows well in sunny places, but can also grow in partial shade. Prefers soils without excess organic fertilizers.
