Magnificent dried flowers!
Acroclinum pink: plant 40-50 cm high, with straight, dryish, little branching stems.
Inflorescences: baskets up to 6 cm in diameter, of various colors, with a yellow center.
They prefer loose, relatively poor in organic matter soil and a sunny location.
Sowing at the end of the first decade of May directly into the open ground, sprinkling with a layer of soil about 5 mm. In dry weather, to get friendly seedlings, it is better to cover crops with paper or covering material. Seedlings appear on the 5-7th day. With dense sowing, the seedlings must be thinned out, leaving a distance of 15-20 cm between them.
They are used mainly in winter bouquets (less often for flower decoration).
Sowing time: March, April.
Seedling planting: May.
Bloom: July, August, September.
Planting methods: open ground, seedlings. Plant height: 40-50 cm. Plant spacing: 25 cm. Row spacing: 20 cm.
Grown specifically for arranging winter bouquets. The leaves are dark green, covered with short fluff and look like chicory leaves.
Double flowers do not lose color even when dry.
The plant is cold-resistant, prefers light, well-drained soils, sunny places.
Grown by seedlings or by sowing in the ground in May. Used for flower beds, mixborders and beddings. The optimum temperature for germination is + 14 + 16 ° C. The seeds are rather large, 3-3.5 mm long and 1.5-2 mm wide, wedge-shaped. Their entire surface is densely covered with long white hairs. The color of the achenes is brownish-brown, but completely masked by the silvery-white tomentose pubescence. 1 g contains 350-400 seeds. Germination capacity is maintained for 2-3 years.
Seedlings do not appear amicably: 8-14 days after sowing.
