Pumpkin "Lechebnaya"
Pumpkin "Lechebnaya" (Healing).
A popular early-ripening table variety. The period from seedling emergence to full fruit maturity is 85-100 days. The plants have short vines, which is very convenient for small gardens. The fruits are slightly flattened, weakly segmented, and weigh 3-6 kg. The rind is thin and leathery. The flesh is bright orange, tender, juicy, and features an excellent sweet taste. The variety is characterized by high marketability, excellent fruit storage life, and stable yields of 4-6 kg/m2.
Agrotechnics.
Seeds are sown directly into planting holes, 2-3 seeds per hole. The emerged seedlings are thinned out at the stage of 1-2 true leaves. In temperate and northern climates, it is safer to grow 20-25-day-old seedlings indoors. Young plants are transplanted into the open ground in late May or early June, when the threat of late spring frosts has completely passed.
To obtain large pumpkins, leave no more than 4-5 fruits on one plant, making sure to pinch off the growing point on the main stem and all lateral shoots.
