Pumpkin "Tonda Padana".
Dense and juicy flesh.
Medium-late variety: the period from germination to full ripening of fruits is 98-105 days. Climbing plant.
The fruit is round, segmented, smooth, dark orange with a pattern in the form of green stripes.
The flesh is yellow-orange, juicy and tasty. Transportability and keeping quality of fruits are good.
Used baked, boiled, for making puree and juices.

Agrotechnics.
The best soils for pumpkin are sandy loam and light loam. Sown when the soil warms up to +10...+12°C. Seeds are planted to a depth of 5-10 cm. 2-3 seeds are sown in one hole. After the emergence of seedlings, weak plants are removed.
Pumpkin is also grown through seedlings, planting in open ground at the age of one month (phase of two or three true leaves). Long-climbing varieties are sown in an ordinary way according to the 1.4x1.0 m scheme. Bush forms of pumpkin are sown in a square-nested way according to the 80x60 cm scheme.
Plant care includes pinching lateral vines, pinching the main stem (after several fruits have set), watering, weeding, loosening, and mandatory top dressing. For better formation of adventitious roots, plants are slightly hilled up with moist soil.
Harvesting fruits as they ripen.

* As an excellent prophylactic against prostatitis, daily consumption of raw pumpkin seeds on an empty stomach (20 seeds, or no more than 50 g peeled, or 1 tablespoon of ground seeds) can be recommended. For prostate diseases, pumpkin juice and pumpkin oil also help.
