A mid-early, high-yielding variety of curly leaf lettuce with decorative dark red leaves. The vegetation period is 55-65 days.
Plant characteristics: the leaf rosette is medium-sized, semi-raised, compact, and quite heavy (the weight of one plant reaches 450 g). Rosette height is about 35 cm, diameter — 33 cm.
Taste qualities: possesses a very tender taste without bitterness and a pleasant, crispy texture. Ideal for fresh salads and garnishing dishes.
Cultivation.
The variety is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in film greenhouses.
Sowing: seeds are sown directly into the ground in April-May. To obtain an earlier harvest, the seedling method is possible: sowing for seedlings in March-April, transplanting hardened seedlings into the ground in May.
Yield: high, up to 4.3 kg/m².
1.0 g = 800-1000 seeds.
