A very early productive variety of large-fruited strawberries. Forms bushes 25 cm high, practically without mustache, with large white flowers (up to 10 pieces on one peduncle).
Fruits abundantly and continuously from late June (southern regions) - early July until frost.
The berries are round-oval, very large, 25-30 g, with dense juicy pulp, sweet, aromatic, ideal for home cooking and freezing. Can be grown as a potted crop.
Strawberries are sown in March-April. The seeds are evenly distributed over a moistened, flat surface. Shoots appear within 30 days. In the phase of appearance of 1-2 true leaves, the seedlings are planted in pots. After 6 true leaves appear, they are planted in the ground with a distance between rows of 25-30 cm, between plants 15-20 cm. Harvesting begins in the second half of June.
* Remontant strawberries.
A distinctive feature of everbearing strawberries is the ability to set flower buds in the spring (in May), which develop and yield a harvest in the same year, so fruiting lasts from early July until the first autumn frosts.
At the beginning of fruiting, remontant varieties yield up to 30% of the total berry yield, the main part of the harvest ripens in August. There are small-fruited and large-fruited remontant strawberries. The first has been known for a very long time (since the 16th century), the second appeared recently.
Remontant strawberries begin to bear fruit in the year of planting, the fruits are formed not only on the mother plants, but also on the rosettes of the runners in the year of their appearance.
The yield of large-fruited everbearing strawberries is not lower than usual, the fruits have high taste qualities, contain a significant amount of vitamin C and have the same uses as ordinary strawberries.
