Important: pumpkin seeds are placed in the ground only flat, sprinkled and pressed with soil. If they are placed differently or not pressed down well with soil, the plant will simply “pull” the seed coat out of the soil, and the cotyledons will not be able to separate.
Big pumpkin, squash "Americana Tonda".
* Is it necessary to limit the growth of pumpkins?
Pumpkins produce vines 3-5 m long, their growth is limited.
As soon as the fruits are set and begin to grow intensively, 5-6 leaves are left, and all subsequent ones are removed.
A board is placed under the set fruits so that they do not rot. When harvesting, the pumpkin is cut so that it has a tail 5 cm long, then it is well stored indoors until spring.
