Super Sweet Corn "Ramondia" F1 - Zea mays L. convar. saccharata.
A treat straight from the garden!
Super sweet hybrid of German breeding. Mid-early hybrid of sweet corn (85-90 days from germination to technical maturity).
Plant height 140-150 cm, leafy.
The cobs are large, cylindrical, 18-19 cm long, very decorative: 75 percent of the kernels are yellow and 25 percent are white.
The grain is sugary, elongated. Grain yield in technical maturity is 65-68%. Technological and taste qualities of grain in milk maturity are very high.
Recommended for consumption boiled, for canning, pickling, and freezing. Cob yield up to 6.7 kg/m².
Agrotechnics.
Corn prefers light, fertile, well-moistened soils. Seeds are soaked in water for 24 hours before planting.
Sowing of seeds is carried out directly into the ground in May (when the danger of return frosts disappears) when the soil warms up to +10°C.
Seeding depth - 3-5 cm. Planting scheme 45x45 cm.
Care: weeding, loosening, hilling. Watering as needed.
Corn responds well to the application of organic or complete mineral fertilizer before sowing.
It is recommended to grow sweet corn separately from ordinary varieties, as cross-pollination reduces the sweetness of the grains.
