Tomato "Eros Orange".
"Nature's funny smile". Orange temptation for winter preserves.
A mid-season variety that is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who sees it in the garden. This is a bright variation of the popular "Eros" variety series (similar to "Aurija" or "Casanova"), characterized by a cheerful orange colour and high yield.
Character and Taste:
• Shape: Exotic, elongated, pepper-like (up to 15 cm long) with a characteristic bifurcated fold at the tip. The tomatoes look very impressive and unusual.
• Flesh: Dense, "meaty", with few seeds and little liquid. This makes the variety ideal for sun-drying (jerking) and thick sauces — you won't have to evaporate excess moisture!
• Flavor: Dessert-like, sweetish, with a high content of dry matter and carotene.
Agrotechnics and Use:
Indeterminate plant (liana over 2 m high), powerful, requires reliable support. Formed into 1-2 stems.
• Yield: Impressive. Clusters set 6-7 heavy fruits (weight 150-200 g). Up to 6 kg can be harvested from one bush.
• Endurance: The variety is hardened, resistant to temperature fluctuations and diseases. Fruits do not crack on the branch or in the jar during canning.
• Storage: Excellent. The harvested crop can be stored for up to 1 month without losing its marketable appearance.
Culinary tip: Try pickling "Eros" vertically in jars — it looks very aesthetic, and the tough skin prevents the tomatoes from bursting in boiling water.
