Tomato "Minusinsky Bear".
A legend of folk selection! A sugary giant weighing up to 1 kg.
Minusinsk tomatoes are a brand known to every passionate gardener in Russia. This mid-season variety, bred based on the best amateur collections of Siberia, fully justifies its name. Powerful as a bear and sweet as honey, it significantly surpasses many Western hybrids in taste.
Character of the "Siberian":
• Size: Impressive. The average fruit weight is 450 g, but with cluster pruning, giants up to 1 kg easily grow. One such tomato is enough to feed the whole family with salad.
• Shape and Colour: The fruits are bright red, round, with a characteristic neatly elongated "nose" (beak) at the apex.
• Flesh: Real "watermelon" texture. At the break, it is sugary, granular, very juicy, and aromatic. Few seeds.
• Endurance: As befits a Siberian, the variety is hardened and perfectly tolerates sudden temperature changes, setting fruit in any weather.
Agrotechnics:
Indeterminate plant (up to 2 m high), powerful. Requires strong staking and suckering (forming into 1-2 stems).
• Yield: Complex clusters, each ripening 5-6 heavyweight fruits. Up to 6 kg of selected tomatoes are harvested from one plant.
• Use: Exclusively a salad and juice variety. It is too large for whole-fruit canning, but juices and pastes made from it are thick and sweet.
