Tomato "Precocibec".
A reliable cold-hardy Canadian dwarf, perfect for short northern summers!
This early-maturing determinate variety boasts an outstanding ability to set fruit in cool climates. It yields abundant clusters containing 8-10 round red fruits. Their dense, juicy flesh with a distinct fruity flavor is highly prized in cooking — especially for making rich sauces and unique homemade tomato jam.
Characteristics:
* Plant: Determinate type (dwarf, bush habit), 50-80 cm tall. Regular foliage.
* Fruits: Round, smooth, red in color. Size is 4-6 cm, with an average weight ranging from 100 to 150 g.
* Texture: Dense, meaty, and juicy.

HISTORICAL REFERENCE:
This unique variety was developed in the 1970s in Quebec (Canada) specifically for regions with cooler climates. It was carefully preserved and passed down by Raymond Tratt, a renowned tomato collector from Quebec.

Tomato Precocibec

Did you know that... tomatoes can be used to make not only savory snacks but also sweet desserts!
For example, an original tomato syrup. To make it, fully ripe tomatoes must be passed through a meat grinder (or blended), then sugar is added to the resulting mass (at a ratio of 2 kg per 1 liter of juice) and mixed thoroughly.
Pour the finished raw syrup into well-washed and dried glass bottles, adding a slice of lemon to each for a fresh aroma. Fill the bottles to the top and seal them hermetically.
This syrup is not only surprisingly tasty but also very healthy, as it is prepared without heat treatment and retains all the vitamins of the fresh fruits.
