Tomato "Siberian Broiler".
A "Meat Breed" for open ground. A mighty low-growing heavyweight.
This variety got its name for a reason. Like broilers in poultry farming, it rapidly gains mass, forming huge, meaty fruits in record time. This is a true Siberian: stocky, unpretentious, and unafraid of cold nights.
Why it is good:
• Size and Taste: Fruits are raspberry-pink, heart-shaped, of impressive size (from 250 to 600 g, some even larger). The flesh is "watermelon-like" — sugary, granular at the break, very juicy, and practically seedless. This is the taste of a real country tomato!
• Earliness: Thanks to the early harvest, "Broiler" manages to ripen before the onset of cold dews and escapes Phytophthora (Late Blight) and other fungal diseases.
• Simplicity: Determinant plant (1.0-1.2 m), strong. Minimal care: pruning (removal of suckers) is required only up to the first flower cluster. After that, the bush works for the harvest itself.
Agrotechnics:
Recommended for open ground and film shelters. The variety tolerates weather whims perfectly. Clusters are formed frequently (every 1-2 leaves), with up to 10 large fruits in each cluster. High yield — up to 6 kg from one compact plant.
Culinary use: Ideal for summer salads, thick juices, and sauces. It is too large for whole-fruit canning; its place is in the salad bowl!
