* Do beets need to be fed?
Beet is big fan of "eating"...
It loves potassium, so it is regularly fed, about once every two weeks, with a solution of any potassium fertilizer. Usually three tablespoons of fertilizer per 10 liters of water are enough. At least two glasses should be poured under the root of each plant.
Beets love sodium. Since there is enough sodium in the soils of Estonia, it can be fed with sodium humate only once per season, or given a one-time feeding with table salt (1 glass per 10 liters of water). In other regions, sodium feeding is given at least 2-3 times.
Beets need microelements, especially boron. Boron (2 g per 10 l of water) is given 1-2 times per season after the root crop has set (if there is a lack of boron, the root crop may have multiple voids).
Excess nitrogen leads to the appearance of black spots in the root crop.
