Cape daisy (Monarch of the Veld) - Venidium fastuosum = Arctotis fastuosa.

Height - 50 cm. Variety with large, up to 10 cm in diameter, with inflorescences on long peduncles. The plant is bushy, spreading.
Blooms all summer, until frost. 
Used in flower beds, for cutting. Flowers keep freshness in a bouquet for a long time.

Cape daisy - Venidium fastuosum Slapf.
Grows wildly in South Africa. An annual herb up to 70 cm tall, densely covered with cobweb, white hairs. Bushes are wide, branched. 
The leaves are small, unequal-lobed, the lower ones are lyre-shaped, the upper ones are linear to lanceolate, sessile or stalk-enveloping. 
Inflorescences up to 10 cm in diameter on long peduncles. Ligulate flowers are brilliant orange, purple-brown at the base; tubular - small, brown-purple in the form of a small disc. 
It blooms brightly and profusely from late June to October. Seeds remain viable for 2-3 years.
Location: Venidiums are thermophilic, require protected, sunny places, they cannot stand waterlogging.
Soil: prefer light, well-drained, fertilized soils.
Reproduction: sowing seeds in boxes for seedlings in March-April, in greenhouses or greenhouses. They are planted in open ground after the end of spring frosts, maintaining a distance of 25-30 cm.
Usage: for flower beds, groups, vases, rocky hills and cutting.
