Gherkin "Adam" F1 - the leader of the world selection.
One of the best early self-pollinated hybrids (matures 40-45 days). It bears fruit for a long time due to the return of the crop on the main stem and the formation of a large number of gherkins on the side shoots. Productive both in the open field and under the film and stands out for its high yield throughout the entire harvest period, even under adverse conditions. The fruits are leveled, small-tuberous, 7-10 cm, with small seed chambers, crispy, do not form voids and are not bitter. An ideal hybrid for canning and fresh consumption. Highly disease resistant.
Agricultural technology.
Medium loamy, breathable soils are suitable for cucumber. Good predecessors are potatoes, onions, cabbage, peppers.
Cucumbers are grown by sowing seeds in the ground or through seedlings. Seedlings are planted in the ground when the threat of frost has passed.
Cucumber seeds are sown in soil warmed up to +14 +15 °С. Embedding depth 2-3 cm. Crops should be covered with a film.
Cultivated in an ordinary way according to the scheme 60x15 cm. Care consists in weeding, loosening, watering and top dressing. Watering should be done after sunset with warm water.
During the growing season, 2-3 top dressings are carried out.
1.0 g = 30-45 seeds.

* What is missing cucumber?
At the end of summer, the fruits of cucumbers sometimes grow in some strange way: either their tips are narrow, or vice versa - swollen ...
Such metamorphoses occur due to a lack of certain nutrients by plants.
With a lack of nitrogen, the fruits are light green, with a narrowed upper part.
With a lack of potassium, the lower part is thin, and the top becomes spherical. To eliminate this imbalance, you can add a solution of potassium nitrate. This fertilizer simultaneously contains nitrogen and potassium compounds. On a bucket of water should take 1 tbsp. a spoonful of saltpetre and pour this solution over the plants at the rate of 10 litres per 1 m2.
Another problem: cucumbers have become bitter in taste. This usually occurs in dry and hot weather. Under such conditions, the fruits accumulate a special substance - cucurbitacin.
To prevent this from happening, plants need to be watered at least every other day and only with warm water.
