This spectacular and bold annual field grass forms amazingly beautiful and massive turfs with linear (beautifully curving into arcs) leaves, which emphasize the weightlessness of the inflorescences.
Large spreading panicles on the thinnest long stems appear earlier than in other field grasses (already in July).
With constant cutting of fading inflorescences, they form right up until the frosts.
