Bristlegrass "Fox tail" - Setaria macrocheata.
Ideal dried flower!
An annual cereal plant with a powerful, dense bush, above which large inflorescences rise like a fountain, giving it a unique decorative effect. Inflorescences are 15-20 cm long, gracefully curved downwards (dense and very fluffy), reminiscent of a fox's tail. The color at the beginning of flowering is light green, and after the seeds ripen - straw-yellow. Photophilous, cold-resistant, relatively drought-resistant and undemanding to soils. The height of the plant is 0.7-1.0 m.
This cute annual cereal will help you create an amazing and original composition. Its semi-drooping tailed inflorescences retain their decorative effect for a long time in winter bouquets.
For bouquets, long fluffy ears are used, which retain their decorative effect for a very long time. Considering the large length of the peduncles, setaria can be used for bouquets in large vases. Looks very good in compositions with other dried flowers: kermek, gypsophila, ammoubium, helichrysum.
Agricultural technology.
Sowing in open ground. Watering is necessary for seed germination if it is very dry and hot. Fertilizing after thinning enhances growth and flowering. Scheme: 25x25 cm.
1 g = 500 seeds.
