Orange beetroot "Ripe Sun".
An unusually original and delicious variety of beets!
Round, yellow-orange root crops weighing 200-300 g are formed within 90-110 days from germination. The pulp is bright yellow, homogeneous, dense and juicy, without ringing or coarse fibres.
More tender and sweet compared to classic beet varieties. Suitable for dietary and baby food. Retains the colour of the pulp after heat treatment.
An ideal variety for preparing original salads and snacks.
Agrotechnics.
Beets grow best in rich, fertile soils with a neutral reaction. On heavy soils, it needs to be grown in beds. In the fall, humus is applied to the beet area, if necessary, the soil is limed, and in the spring, complex mineral fertilizer is applied. Seeds are sown in late April - early May to a depth of 2-4 cm in rows, with row spacing of 25-30 cm and a distance between seeds of 8-10 cm.
Further care consists of loosening, regular feeding and watering. Beet seeds can be sown before winter in late October - early November.
