Tomato "Califfo" F1
Tomato "Califfo" F1.
The Heavyweight Champion: 500g fruits and superb disease resistance!
An early ripening (92-95 days) and high-yielding hybrid for greenhouses and open field.
The plant is vigorous, indeterminate (1.6-2.0 m high), requiring sturdy support as the fruits are very heavy.
Fruit characteristics:
A classic Beefsteak tomato. The fruits are massive, weighing 400-500 g, bright red, smooth, and slightly ribbed. The flesh is dense, meaty, and sugary.
Excellent taste quality: a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.
Each truss carries 4–5 of these giants.
Advantages of the hybrid:
1. Health: Highly resistant to Alternaria, Fusarium, Tobacco Mosaic Virus, and, most importantly, Phytophthora (Late Blight) and fungal diseases.
2. Stability: Characterized by high fruit setting even under stressful conditions and simultaneous ripening.
Yield:
Under favourable conditions, the expected harvest from 10 plants is 30–45 kg of premium tomatoes.
10 seeds are sufficient for an area of 3–4 m².
