Mexican fan palm "Santa-Barbara" - Washingtonia robusta.
A majestic fan palm.
Powerful fan-shaped leaves of a rich green color. Hanging dead leaves remain on the trunk, forming a dense shell.
Adult specimens are recommended to be kept outdoors in a place protected from direct sunlight. Palms are watered abundantly with warm, settled water in spring and summer. Top dressing every 2 weeks with flower fertilizers.
Before sowing, the seeds are treated with sandpaper. To germinate the seeds, use a mixture consisting of sand, moss and steamed sawdust (1:1:1). Crushed charcoal is added to the mixture. The seeds are sealed to a depth of 1-2 cm, mulched with moss or covered with film to create a greenhouse effect. At a soil temperature of +25+30 °C, the seeds germinate on the 45-60th day.
